After nine years of experience in Bordeaux at Château de Fieuzal, we acquired La Madura in 1998. A small vineyard of 12.5 ha, the vines span the different terroirs of Saint-Chinian, on schist, clay-limestone and sandstone and it was this diversity that seduced us; it is a real asset when it comes to the complexity of our blends.
We aim to avoid artifice in our wine making and try to let the terroir speak, with the aim of creating wines with a strong identity, freshness and balance. Respect for the environment has always been a common thread, which is why we have opted for the H.V.E (High Environmental Value) label and our wines will be certified organic in 2021.
We carry out in-depth work in our vineyard to highlight the character and originality of our terroirs, with the aim of creating elegant, fine wines. Having this work appreciated by wine lovers and sommeliers is our main reward; to have it recognised by journalists too is the icing on the cake.
